it's just not the same
Everyone from high school and college (including myself) has changed so much in the years since we graduated—we’ve grown up and moved on. We’re getting taking jobs outside the fast food world, moving to all ends of the earth, buying cars and houses, getting married and having children. There was a picture in this week’s Entertainment Weekly. It showed the Hollywood sign in the background, surrounded by photos of paparazzi, Britney, Paris, and cops. It took me a minute to realize that that’s my home…that city is my life, and not the folks back in Ohio or most of the other people that read that magazine. Disney World v. Disneyland and other thoughts...
This weekend I visited the Disneyland Resort for the first time with my friend Angela from Springfield. She works at Disney World, so we were able to get into California Adventure for free (all weekends in December were blocked out for Disneyland due to the holiday…more on that later…) Overall, it was a fantastic day. I love my job (while it lasts). Had a BBQ yesterday for lunch at our post house and they were basically shoving beers down our throats…it was a good thing we were w/i walking distance of our office :)
